What can I do with an API?
“A perfectly simple and best-in-class design”
The Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association (FTBOA) needed the ability to streamline information for website users to get quicker access to vital data about races, entries, results, and more. No more manual searches or delays — everything you need is just a click away.
We utilized indicators to distinguish horses registered with the FTBOA, eligible for the Florida Sire Stakes, and graduates of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales. Essential race condition details such as date, location, surface, purse, and morning line odds are provided as soon as they are accessible. Additionally, the platform includes columns featuring the horses’ sire, breeder of record, and ownership information. Users can easily sort all data columns, and blue “i” icons offer convenient access to detailed pedigree, racing connections, and race data for further exploration.
Hear it from Steve Koch, FTBOA Associate Vice President himself, “From the outset, we’ve sought the cleanest method to serve very targeted data. Blue Million, our web developer, once again has delivered a perfectly simple and best-in-class design.”
Previously FTBOA had to edit and update this data manually, taking the time of their employees, and now with the use of APIs, we’re streamlining the process, making it easier for users and the organization. Whether you’re in the horse racing community or another field entirely, a similar upgrade can enhance user experience and empower clients and users with real-time insights.
